Art-ificial intelligence
Can AI replace artists. That actually depends on what kind of artist are we talking about. If the artist is purely an executor, that means somebody that only does a 3-D model based on somebody else’s concept and requirement then yes, they are the ones who are most likely to be replaced. The other hand, storytellers, and creators that have the ability to solve clients problems, while coming up with original ideas will benefit from this rapid evolution in AI and AI related tools for creative because it will allow them to create the design animation or whatever is needed much faster, whether it is to test out directions, or to present a final product. Personally, I doubt final products will be generated be by AI anytime soon if ever. But the ability to create faster, mock ups or starting points that can be used by artists to build on an adding their touches to create the final product is not only a possibility it is certainty. So at this stage, probably one of the most important things for artists is to expand their skills in the direction of storytelling and problem-solving, because this is where, their value will shine and they will be able to provide actual value. And instead of becoming victims to this evolution of AI, they can benefit exponentially, and become not only better artists, but better people [or something]
things will get more automated, just like they have with every major leap in technology (manufacturing, production, printing, etc). as always this will lead to greater acheivements because the true arts, the storytellers who have uniqu visions, taast and problem solving technics will be able to optimise their proces and create better and more amazing things faster than ever before.. and i cant se any reason for that being a bad thing!
So the question is no loger weather or not ai will replace artist, it becomes how can artists grow their skillsets and become better storytells to take full advantages of the evolution of these tools instead of becoming vicatems of this inevitable evolution.
